CCS Defeats Notre Dame, 3-0

The CCS girls soccer team earned a key District 7A/AA win on Thursday, beating arch rival Notre Dame 3-0. 

CCS's first goal came in the 34th minute on a hard leftfooted shot from Addie Henry.  CCS took a 2-0 lead minutes later when Kyra Duble scored assisted by Henry. 

The final goal was scored by Duble off an Olivia Hoffman cross in the 71st minute.  

"Our defense did well limiting Notre Dame to a very few dangerous chances,"  CCS head coach Cal Sneller said.

"In the second half our defense played better possession play.  The ladies are starting to play with confidence, poise and a drive to improve."  

CCS improves to 8-5 on the season and 2-0 in the district.  

CCS out shot Notre Dame 17-6.
