  • Friday, September 16, 2016

A Walker Valley High School teacher has resigned following a report of inappropriate communication with a student.

Bradley County Director of Schools Dr. Linda Cash said she received a letter of resignation on Friday from Jonathan Dycus.

She said his decision "was made following a suspension without pay related to a report of inappropriate communication with a student."

Dr.

Cash said all classes taught by Mr. Dycus will continue under the direction of a certified Advanced Placement teacher in preparation for College Board exams in May.

School counseling services stand ready to address any student or faculty needs as they may arise concerning this transition, it was stated.
