Harry Melvin Fry, 96, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Wednesday September 21, 2016 at his residence.
Harry was born Oct. 16, 1919 in Trenton, NJ to the late Harry Samuel and Margaret Cody Fry; and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Edith Fry; and daughters, Melissa Ann Fry and Laurel L. Fry.
He proudly served his country in the United States Military during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Weaver Fry of the residence; daughters, Denise Weaver and Amy Weaver Akins; and grandson, Andrew Blue Akins all of Dalton, GA.
Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Harry Melvin Fry will be held Sunday Sept. 25 at 3 p.m. from the Grace Presbyterian Church with Pastor David Eades and Elder Rob Woodard officiating. Entombment will follow at the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30-3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Associations or Grace Presbyterian Church in Dalton, GA.
Arrangements are by locally owned and operated Ponders Melrose Chapel.
