Shula's 347 Grill To Open At 8th And Pine

  • Saturday, September 24, 2016

A Shula's 347 Grill will be opening at 8th and Pine streets in the new district being developed by brothers Ken and Byron Defoor.

It is part of the chain of steak emporiums developed by legendary NFL Coach Don Shula.

Coach Shula was set to be in Chattanooga on Friday night for a performance by famed folk singer Arlo Guthrie to mark the opening of the district that will be highlighted by a Westin Hotel in the former Gold Building on Pine Street. The event honored Chattanoogan Fletcher Bright.

The Shula restaurant lines also include Shula's Steak House, Shula's 2, Shula's Bar and Grill and Shula's Burger.

The locations are also noted for their extensive wine offerings.

Other Shula's 347 Grills are at West Valley City, Utah; Norfolk and Roanoke, Va., and Coral Gables, Lake Mary and Tallahassee, Fla.

The new unit will be in the restored Gilman Building.
