Phyllis Thomas Feild, 60, of Dalton, Georgia, died on Friday, September 23, 2016.
Phyllis was born Dec. 9, 1955 in Dalton, Georgia to the late Herman Edward Thomas; and was also preceded in death by her brother Michael Thomas. Phyllis was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Ms. Phyllis Thomas Feild is survived by her daughter Missy Chapman of Dalton, GA; mother Clara Thomas; step-daughter, Ashley and Kevin Chitwood; brother, Lamar and Martha Thomas of Rocky Face, GA; sister, Anita and Danny Goswick of Dalton, GA; nieces and nephews, Stacey and Michael Smith, Greg and April Thomas, Andrea and Chad Rhodes, Tanner and Stacy Thomas and Tyler and Ashely Thomas; great-nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Service to celebrate the life of Ms. Phyllis Thomas Field will be held Monday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Rev. Donald Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, with Danny Goswick, Chad Rhodes, Bruce Jordan, Jim Feild, Jackson Peden and Michael Smith serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel on Sunday Sept. 25 from 5-9 p.m.
