Jonathan Bosshardt ’10 and Ryan Sullivan ’99 have began work in the McCallie Development office, and they will be hitting the road in the coming months to meet with friends of McCallie and work to help the school build for future generations of students.

Mr. Sullivan comes from a long line of McCallie men. Uncles Don and Doug Sullivan — both members of the Class of 1975 — went to the school on the Ridge, as did Mr. Sullivan and brothers Rob ’93 and Kevin ’96.

Mr. Sullivan spent the past 12 years working for W.W. Grainger Inc., and as assistant director of Capital Giving he will be working with Director of Strategic Planning Craig Ingvalson ’77 to tell the story of McCallie to alumni, parents, and friends of the school and sharing plans for the future.

Mr. Sullivan lives in Ringgold with his wife, Casey, and their children Cadence, 4, and Keller, 3.

"I'm blown away by the relationships one cultivates through the fraternity of graduates from McCallie,” he said. “It doesn't matter whether you are speaking to someone from your own graduating class or someone who graduated 30 years prior. We all had a lot of the same experiences at this wonderful place, and it helped all of us to become the men that we are. I can't wait to get out on the road, and meet other alumni who care as much as I do about this school, and the impact it has on young men both now, and for years to come."

Mr. Bosshardt, a 2015 graduate of the University of Georgia, joins McCallie as assistant director of Annual Giving, and he will be working to promote the Honor Fund and engage with young alumni around the country. A native of Chickamauga, he was the second member of his family to graduate from McCallie, following his brother Nathan ’07.

“Anyone who has ever been involved with McCallie has their own story about the place,” he said. “All of the individual stories combined paint a beautiful picture of what McCallie means to its family. My story is a story of lifelong relationships, how communities are built and maintained, values to live a life by, and memories that always bring a smile.

“It is an honor to be back at McCallie to help ensure that future generations can tell a different story with the same theme.”

Mr. Bosshardt was recently wed to his wife, Mary Alayne, a teaching assistant at Bright School.

Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Bosshardt will be hitting the road this fall.

"We are excited to welcome Ryan and Jonathan back to the Ridge,” said Vice President of Advancement Steve Hearn ’74. “Both are outstanding alumni who possess the skills and commitment to McCallie which will help them advance the mission of the school."
