The Signal Mountain Lady Eagles took care of business at home Tuesday night as they swept visiting Notre Dame by scores of 25-15, 25-19 and 25-19 to claim first place in District 7-AA with a 10-0 district mark and 30-8 overall.
Audrie Johnson had 11 kills while Kate Barry added 17 digs and 11 assists. Nicole Terfloth finished with 18 digs and three aces for the winners while Maia Rackel had 11 digs, eight kills and 3 blocks.
Tess Scobey had eight kills and Ally Mildenberger 12 digs for Notre Dame while Sarah Desai added 18 assists.
Notre Dame is now 13-9 overall and 6-2 in 7-AA as they locked up second place in the district.
Sale Creek and Hixson are not in the same volleyball district, but coaches Janet Tate and Debbie Hill have been best friends forever and they always play each other.
Tuesday's match was at Sale Creek and Hill's Lady Panthers were the winner as they improved to 33-5 with the 26-24, 25-16 and 25-19 victory.
Ariana Smith had 13 kills and 10 digs to lead Sale Creek while teammate Abbey Burton was right there with a dozen kills and 11 digs. Morgan Weatherford had 16 digs and Bailey Nelson 15 assists for the Lady Panthers.
Dakota Rawiszer, Kiera Taylor and Abby Rector all had three kills for Hixson, now 13-18 overall.
Sam Dove finished with 18 assists while Shelby Rector had 18 digs.
The Baylor girls were also victorious as they bounced back from their first two losses of the season on Saturday to sweep rival GPS on the Bruisers' court, Baylor winning by scores of 25-11, 25-23 and 25-16.
Gabby Gray had nine kills to lead Baylor whhile Kelsey Holden had 19 assists. Ally Craig finished with seven kills, nine digs and three aces for the Lady Red Raiders.
Preslee Brooksbank had kills for GPS while Courtlyn Martino had 13 digs and Emma Moore 15 assists.
Baylor is now 39-2 overall and 7-0 in region play while the Bruisers are now 25-17 for the season.
It was Senior Night at both Grace Academy and Chattanooga Christian and both teams celebrated with victory over CSAS and the Chattanooga Patriots, respectively.
Grace prevailed by scores of 25-11, 25-9 and 25-11 while CCS was a winner by scores of 25-14, 25-11 and 25-17.
Alexandra Smith, only a junior who recorded her 2,000th kill over the weekend, had 13 kills, six aces and nine digs to lead the Grace attack while Summer Dean had 24 assists and Maggie Long 13 digs.
Those four seniors honored at CCS included Cassie Curry, Anna Linkous, Annika Fischer and Allison Hughes.
Curry had a memorable final home match with nine kills, eight digs and five aces while A.J. Johnson had a dozen kills. Rachel Kay had 18 assists and five aces.

The Lookout Valley volleyball team celebrated senior night on Tuesday with a 25-15, 15-25, 25-22, 25-16 over Marion County. Lookout Valley improves to 11-17 overall and 5-0 in District 6-A. Lookout Valley plays Sale Creek on Thursday for the top seed in the district.
