Charles Kenneth “Ken” Ellis, 84, died on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

He was born on April 13, 1932, in Harrison, where he lived his entire life. Ken was a retired auto mechanic of 50 years and was well known for his produce on Highway 58. He was a member of the Georgetown Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Granville and Anna Belle Hogan Ellis; six brothers, Bill, Ray, Lebron, Caroll, Jack and Lester Ellis; sister, Reba Ellis Vincent.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Hazel; sons, Timothy and Lamar Ellis of Harrison; and grandson, Ryan Ellis.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 29, from 3-8 p.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be on Friday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Minister James Hughes officiating. He will be laid to rest in McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood, Tn. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Richard Harvey, Gerald Mullins, Jimmy Webb, Patrick Wilson, Junior Styles and Junior Kennedy.
