FSG Bank has donated $5,000 to Correcaminos Futbol Academy

FSG Bank officials presented $5,000 to aid Correcaminos Futbol Academy, a soccer development nonprofit, in their mission to grow inner city students on and off the field.

The donated funds will go toward helping more than 110 local, underserved students buy practice T-shirts, shorts and soccer balls, said Kevin Brunson, FSG Bank Dalton city president. These funds will also give students access to player cards to compete in state soccer tournaments.

“FSG Bank is proud to work with CFA,” Mr. Brunson said. “We love their mission to develop players on and off the field. The experience and lifelong values these students learn will pay dividends as they grow up, and we’re excited to be a part of that story.”

CFA participating students are taught life skills to be successful in their schools and future careers, said Kerem Daser, Dalton State director of soccer. CFA staff and volunteers aim to instill leadership, sportsmanship, teamwork and integrity into the students they work with, said officials.

“CFA is excited in helping our local Dalton youth players reach their soccer and life goals,” Mr. Daser said. “The money will go far in the lives of these less fortunate inner city students. We thank FSG for helping us give back to the local Dalton community.”

The Dalton CFA Advisory Board is comprised of local leaders: Steve Card (DPR sports director), Rene Enang (Dalton State soccer assistant), Fernando Paniguia (Dalton real estate manager), Dr. Saad Hammid (pediatrician) and Ken White (a local businessman).
