Charles Wayne Caldwell, 68, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hillard and Ruby Worley Caldwell; sister, Virginia Faye Caldwell; brothers, Clyde, Lewis and Ed Caldwell; and special nephew Christopher Caldwell all of Whitwell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Norma Jean “Jeannie” Caldwell; sisters, Judy (Dwight) Bryant of Whitwell and Nancy Caldwell of Murfreesboro; brothers, Gene (Pam) Caldwell of Palmer, Steve (Ruth) Caldwell, Rick (Ruth) Caldwell both of Whitwell, and Jimmy (Sandra) Caldwell of Cleveland, TN; mother-in-law, Velda “Tootsie” Parker and multiple brothers and sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, including one special nephew, Jacob Caldwell and two very close great-nephews; and many friends.
He will truly be missed by those who knew him. He loved to joke and pick at everyone and always enjoyed a good laugh at others expense.
The family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29 in the funeral home chapel with Reverends Terry Winton and Chris Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Cemetery in Crossroads.
