Jackson, Tenn. - Jackson's bats struggled in a 5-0 loss to the Chattanooga Lookouts Friday night at The Ballpark at Jackson.

Montgomery beat Tennessee as well, making it all but certain that the Biscuits will win the Second Half North Division title.

It all starts with pitching, and Aaron Slegers put together another terrific start.

Slegers threw seven shutout innings. He took a no-hitter into the sixth inning. He gave up four hits, walked two and struck out seven. Mason Melotakis and Brandon Peterson each worked a scoreless inning in relief.

Chattanooga got out to an early lead and didn't look back. Andrew Moore walked two men in a row with one out in the opening frame before D.J. Hicks singled to left field to put the Lookouts ahead 1-0.

Edgar Corcino led off the fourth inning with a triple to left field before coming home on a sacrifice fly from Stuart Turner to make it 2-0.

The Lookouts added three runs against Jackson's bullpen to put the game out of reach. In the seventh, Chattanooga loaded the bases with none out before scoring on a Zach Granite groundout.

In the eighth, they added another run on consecutive doubles from Travis Harrison and D.J. Hicks. Hicks would score later in the inning on a Niko Goodrum single, that made it 5-0. Hicks now has 17 RBI in 22 games versus the Generals.

Goodrum went 3-for-4 with his ninth double. Hicks went 2-for-4 with his 26th double. Harrison went 2-for-4 with a walk and his 22nd double. Corcino contributed his sixth triple.
