Braman Leads GPS Runners At Berry Invitational

ROME, Ga. -- GPS junior Carley Braman finished sixth overall out of 283 girls in the Berry Invitational here Saturday morning.

Braman had a time of 19 minutes, 13 seconds as the Bruisers finished eighth out of 33 teams.

Baylor was 13th while Signal Mountain was 23rd.

Signal Mountain senior Taylor Luthringer also had an outstanding run as she finished eighth overall in 19:18.

Sophomore Addison Smith was Baylor's first finisher as she finished 32nd in 20:34.

Following Braman for GPS was Kate McVay, who was 24th in 20:17, Rebecca Torrence 73rd in 21:49, Tori Tomokane 84th in 22:02 and Mary Margaret Arrowsmith 89th in 22:06.3.

Additional finishers for Baylor included Allison Anderson 49th in 21:12, Catherine Cansler 62nd in 21:26, Emrick Garrett 81st in 21:58 and Mary Kathryne Schumaker 90th in 22:06.5.

Baylor and GPS return to action next Saturday with the annual A.F. Bridges Invitational at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.
