Series: Baylor leads 44-36-4-3, won big a year ago (36-14) and has claimed wins in seven of the last eight contests after McCallie had won 11 straight (1998-2008).
Common Opponent: Red Bank … McCallie won, 47-0 … Baylor won, 47-7
Tonight’s Preview: McCallie has a high-powered offense led by senior quarterback Robert Riddle with wins against Red Bank (4-2).
The strong Baylor defense has allowed only 20 points to five opponents (not counting the 35-0 to Brentwood Academy) and has a shutout win against a strong Rhea County team (4-2).
.McCallie has scored more than 40 points three times this season, including a 56-6 win against Blessed Trinity (Ga.) last week.
It’s Great To Be Home: This is only the fourth time McCallie has played Baylor on campus in 20 years … The Blue Tornado won 35-9 in 2014 and 35-3 in 1998 and lost 27-14 in 1996 (the McCallie-Baylor series moved to Finley Stadium for several years, but now the game is played at the schools.)
