Robert Carroll
Robert Everett Carroll, 70, lifelong resident of Harrison, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2017.
He was a member of Old Rugged Cross Baptist Church, in Ooltewah. Robert retired from Combustion/Alstom after 37 years as a boilermaker. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Gayle Carroll; parents, Arlie and Zelma Friddell Carroll; brother, Bruce Carroll.
He is survived by his son, Chad (April) Carroll of Harrison; daughter, Marti Smith of Ooltewah; sisters, Wanda (Harvey) Turner of North Carolina and Diane (Jim) Worley of Florida; grandchildren, Gavin and Gabbie Carroll and Kayla and Bryson Smith; sister-in-law, Janice Burkhart; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 17 and 18, from 5-8 p.m. in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Harvey Turner, Sr. and Dr. Jack Rinks officiating.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Linda, at Chattanooga National Cemetery, with military honors.
