Viola B. Greer, 92, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 at a local health care facility.
She moved to Cleveland from Tellico Plains eight years ago and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Cedar Ridge in Georgetown, TN. She loved working in her church as well as being an exceptional seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fred Greer Sr; her parents, Ray Boley and Hattie Hixon; and one brother, Dewayne Boley.
She is survived by her four children, James Fred Greer Jr. and his wife, Linda of Charlotte, NC., Charles Gordan and wife, Marilyn of Cleveland, TN., Samuel Greer of Ooltewah, TN and James Robert Greer and wife, Maureen of England; one sister, Pauline Maynor of Dayton, TN.; ten grandchildren, Cheryl, David, Samya, Jason, Allison, Douglas, Ginger, Robin, J.B. and Mike; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
