Back Alley Productions is holding auditions for the production of “A Few Good Men.” Auditions are Feb. 6 and Feb. 7 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Back Alley is housed at the historic Mars Theater at 117 N. Chattanooga St. in LaFayette and brings in actors from the North Georgia and Chattanooga area.

Review for "A Few Good Men":

“A Few Good Men” details the courtroom drama of two Marines charged with the murder of a fellow Marine and the tense legal tribulations that follow. A callow young Navy lawyer serves as the focus of the story. He is more interested in softball cases and expects a plea bargain. Prodded by a female member of his defense team, the lawyer eventually makes a valiant effort to defend his clients and, in so doing, puts the military mentality and the Marine code of honor on trial.

“A Few Good Men is one of my favorite stories,” Director James Reed said. “We are going to breath new life into it and we are looking for strong, local talent to bring the tension and drama to life for the local audience. The whole story weaves loyalty and deception together and really examines honor and the extent by which the ends justify the means.”

The cast has openings for 14 men and one woman. Performances are weekends from April 7-23. The audition process includes the reading of a monologue before a production panel, and possible callbacks.
