David Mays, 65, of Chattanooga, passed away on Tuesday, January 17 in a local hospital.

David was a native and lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was employed by Temple Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh “Buck” Mays and Lois Howard Mays, and brother, Tommy Mays.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Mays; daughters, Kim Martin and Carey Ann Mays; sons, Brian (Sherri) Mays and Jimmy Mays; step-son, Daniel Boss; grandchildren, Brittney Martin, Cody Martin, Zach McClendon, Courtney McClendon, Dakota Mays, Jathan Mays, Adison Nabors, Ashley Boss, Gavin Boss and Saylor Boss; sisters, Frances Sharp, Kathy Burnette, and Tammy Stewart; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday, Jan. 20, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
