Peggy Michaels
Scenic City Women’s Network invites the public for its January Networking luncheon. It will be featuring Peggy Michaels. The theme will be “The Power of Prayer”.
The speaker will be Peggy Michaels, hometown Chattanoogan. She has a BS and MA in Health and Physical Education from Tennessee Tech. She has been a physical education teacher for 32 years, and retired from serving as Physical Education Department Head at GPS in 2015. She has been recognized as Tennessee Secondary Physical Education Teacher of the Year, member of the MS Society Hall of Fame, received the Betty Probasco Lifetime Achievement Award from the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame, Tennessee Tech Outstanding Alumni Award, awarded the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame Courage Award. Motivational speaker. Active participant in the National MS Society. She is mother of two daughters, Meg Word and Kingsley Bennett, and grandmother of five grandchildren. She is a member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, and hosts a bi-weekly Bible study in her home.
