Ebony Faye Cousin
A 22-year-old woman is charged in connection with robberies in Chattanooga and East Ridge.
Ebony Faye Cousin, of 1217 Shomar St., is charged with aggravated robbery, attempted robbery, theft of property, driving on a revoked license, striking a highway fixture, reckless driving, speeding and not having insurance.
Police said Ms. Cousin pointed a pink handgun at a clerk at the Dollar General on Ringgold Road in East Ridge during a robbery on Nov. 8.
The clerk said a small, black female approached her and said, "Come on, baby. Give me the money."
She gave her between $200 and $300 from the register.
The female robber had a blue jean jacket over her head, which partially concealed her face.
The woman fled the store after getting the money. She got into a dark blue or black sedan.
Police said the clerk was very shaken up and feared for her life when the gun was pointed at her.
A witness reported seeing the sedan on the parking lot prior to the robbery. She said there were two occupants inside, including a black female.
She said they drove close to the front of the store and were looking intently toward the clerk at the cash register.
A short time after the Dollar General holdup, East Ridge Police were informed that Chattanooga Police had several people in custody for robberies throughout the city.
