Charlene Powell, 82, of Menlo, Georgia, died on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Miss Powell was born on Oct. 13, 1934, in Chattooga County, Ga., daughter of the late Charlie Jackson Powell and Vennice Beatrice Morris Powell. She was a member of the Menlo Faith Baptist Church, and prior to her retirement, served for 33 years as librarian with the Chattooga County Library System.
Miss Powell is survived by her brothers, Wayne Powell; sisters, Bobbie McRae and Joy Ledford; and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Miss Powell will be held privately.
