Linda Gail Foster Brown, 65, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Jan. 19, 2017.

She was very special to all her family in unique ways to each of them. Linda was strong and a very hard fighter, and through all her tribulations, she was still a giver, giving herself to her family and comforting them throughout her battle. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Harland “Bo” Brown; her mother, Ellen Durham; step-father, Alton Durham and her father, Woody Foster. 

Linda is survived by her husband of fifty years, Sam Brown; her children, Tammy (Alvin) Childs, Garland “Red” (Amy) Brown, Robin (Chris) Charland; her brothers, William “Beaver” Durham, Benjamin “Benny” Durham; her sisters, Elaine Simmons, Anita Hiland; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members. 

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park. Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
