Hazel Clifton Nix, 90, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Nix Sr.; and by her parents, Wiley E. and Bessie Clifton.
Hazel was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was the director of the preschool for several years.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Claude Nix Jr. of Rocky Face, Rodney and Sandi Nix of Dalton and Doug and Etta Nix of Cartersville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, January 21 at 3 p.m. in West Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Hoyt Jenkins officiating.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 Veterans Drive, Dalton, Ga. 30720.
