Samuel Wayne Adams, 65of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 in Albany, Georgia. 

He was a member of the Baptist Faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Adams and Betty Jean Langston Adams; and brothers, Roy Adams, Charles Adams and John Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Adams; daughters, Shannon Fairbanks and Kelly Adams Smith of Chattanooga; three brothers, Joe M. Adams, (Linda), Jerry L. (Regina) Adams and Joseph L. Adams, Sr.; sister, Wanda Jean (Robert) Porter; five grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; aunts, Betty Langston, Mary “Betty” Smith, Lula M. Wheeler, Bernice Langston and Emma Langston; uncles, Charles Adams and LeRoy Adams; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 24, at noon at Mt. Peria Baptist Church, 341 Sparks Street, Ringgold, GA 30736 with Rev. James Clark and other ministers officiating.  Interment will follow Chattanooga National Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the funeral.

The family will assemble at the residence at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at 6409 Washington Street, Rossville, GA 30741.

Arrangements are by Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton.
