The Soddy Daisy Trojans may have been embarrassed over a lopsided whipping they took at the hands of the Bradley Bears Thursday night in Cleveland, but they came out with fire in their eyes Friday night in a dual meet with Father Ryan.

The host Trojans had a seemingly-comfortable 32-22 lead with three matches remaining, but the Purple Irish won all three -- including two with pins -- to escape with the 37-32 victory.

The Trojans got pins from Jacob Allen at 106, Lance Wheaton at 126, Tony Wilson at 152 and Caleb Addison at 182, but it wasn't enough as Father Ryan rallied to win.

In another Friday match, the Walker Valley Mustangs recorded four pins to go along with eight forfeits as they defeated the McMinn County Cherokees, 66-16.

Ethan West, Robert Varner, Mikel Gregory and Mason Bales all won with pins for the Mustangs while Gage Bogges had the only pin for the Cherokees.  Clinton Varnadore also picked up a major decision at 285 for McMinn Co. while Jacob LaBeau collected the other six points with a forfeit at 182.
