Men Vs. Women - And Response (5)

  • Friday, January 27, 2017

Men vs. Women seemed an apt title.  It seems that it is men that complain the most and the loudest when it comes to women; their rights as people and further their god-given role in the world of men and women.  On this site it is mostly men harboring resentment for women that speak and especially for women that speak loudly.  Men, I guess, don't like to be stepped on, but in my view if more women stepped maybe the male population would respect and honor those women that do so much for family and for society.

More women are in college then men.  More women have babies then men.  Oh my, what did I just suggest?  The one honor that is often discussed with a level of disrespect is the role of mom, babies and the female role.  We, all of us, had a mother.  We, all of us, owe that mother a great deal and yet it is the GOP now being led by ego-in-chief suggesting in an interview that women should be punished for having an abortion.  Ditto for a legislator in Texas.

Again, all men complaining that they know more about women then the women do.  Strange argument with little validity. What are men afraid of?

Women outlive men by an often considerable number.  Men resent the idea of showing emotion and instead are taught to be tough, mighty and above the fray.  Men do not live as long as the female because in a large respect they have been taught not to feel and instead share no doubts; share no fear.  In other words, stuff their feelings.

Men, we can and should learn from women. They are far better teachers of the real then we are.

What kind thoughts, Mr. Brooks.  Thank you for the courage to express them in this deluge of "alternative facts" we must wade through each time we access the media in search of something worthwhile.  You have made my day as I begin to search for a fuel filter for this antique beauty.

Have a wonderful day.

Obviously I live in a different environment that Mr. Brooks as I see women as being achievers, great mothers, excellent executives, great bosses, hard working, etc.   Most of these achievers don’t whine as they know their contribution to society.  Unfortunately there are cry babies on both sides of men and women.

As far as abortion, we should not look at one side of the issue.  I agree with abortion if the woman has been raped or forced upon without being a willing participant.  On the other hand to have an abortion because your intimate lover or your consensual one night stand produced life in its beginning, the participants should take responsibility.   Especially when you knew what you were doing and could have taken measures to keep this from happening.  In the end, it all rests on the shoulders of the consensual participants and they must make the ultimate decision as to keep or terminate.  Their conscience will be reminded forever.

Everyone should also be aware of all the great stay-at-home dads that do the mothering, although not the norm, but definitely a segment of society that continues to grow.

Both men and women complain about knowing more than each other.  This is not one sided.  Both men and women can complain, cry and whine all day long about how they are being mistreated.  On my end I see it completely different and very proud of all the female executives, first responders, soldiers, doctors, nurses, teachers, etc.

Anyone can complain about anything.  Some people are just that way, cry babies.  Men and women with self confidence, pride and problem solving skills while presenting a positive message should be commended by all.

Thank you ego-chief and leader for Kellyanne Conway, your wonderful daughter Ivanka, your classy wife Melania, as these women shine.  Thank you to the wonderful female segment  of society such as my daughters, daughter-in-law, mother, grandmothers, granddaughters, and female blue and white collar workers, that don’t complain but strive for the best.

As for Rosie, Whoppi and the rest of the GOP haters I’m still waiting on you to fulfill your promise and leave.  When leaving do us all a favor and take the ones that gripe, complain and protest that are on welfare with you.  As for the rest of you cry babies, get a pacifier.

The title says it all. It is not men with women or women with men. It's men vs women. Versus means against. The simple title means that someone has to lose in order for others to win.

This argument is not about being equal. It's about being "more" equal. We have non-discrimination laws that prevent this, specifically Title IX, which addresses everyone's concern about compensation disparities amongst other things. When equality doesn't bring about the necessary results, there must be an enemy sabotaging equality. This is how witch-hunts begin. It must be a man's fault.

If we really want to talk about equality, I would greatly appreciate equality regarding reproductive rights. As a male, I would like reproductive rights that are currently only held by females. If I engage in consensual activities, my right to my offspring is precluded by someone else's right. Is that the definition of equality?

"To protect and serve their own interests, the wealthy and privileged have used feminists and pacifists to promote a masculinity that has nothing to do with being good at being a man, and everything to do with being what they consider a 'good man.' Their version of a good man is isolated from his peers, emotional, effectively impotent, easy to manage, and tactically inept.

"The pro-feminist male is a wretched, guilt-ridden creature who must at every turn make certain he is not impeding the progress of women in any way. He willingly accepts guild for crime against women he never committed, perpetuated by men he has never met. He must question... admiration he might have for traditional role models- for fear that he is perpetuating cultures of honor or patriarchy that could somehow result in the oppression of or violence against women. He must be careful to include women in every activity, even if he would prefer not to... He is encouraged to work with women to support their interests with little or no regard for how those interests might have a negative impact of men... The only 'freedom' that feminism offers men is the freedom to do exactly what women want men to do." - Jack Donovan

The following is dialogue from "Designing Women" in the episode "Reservations for Eight":

During the great debate between men and women.

JULIA: ...........in general it has been the men who have done the raping and the robbing and the killing and the war-mongering for the last 2,000 years.... and it's been the men who have done the pillaging and the beheading and the subjecating of whole races into slavery. It has been the men who have done the law making and the money making and the most of the mischief making! So if the world isn't quite what you had in mind you have only yourselves to thank!

REESE: Oh yeah? That's what you think about men? Well let me tell you something about women............... They're always late.

It was true then and still true now. Women should have control over their lives and their bodies. Every man on earth has a woman to thank for their existence. Without women, humans wouldn't be around.  Equality is and should be for everyone. The men who are threatened by strong women and by the actions and words of them, are insecure in themselves. Feminism isn't a threat.  It's a necessity.
