Life Care Centers of America’s Eastern Division, based out of Life Care’s office on Keith Street, presented its Sixth Annual Business Development Awards of Excellence.
On Dec. 6, the division bestowed honors on one skilled nursing and rehab facility per each of its five regions. The awards recognize facilities for innovative programs in serving their communities.
Life Care Center of Hixson earned the overall, division-wide Business Development Award. The facility was nominated for its focus on strong communication with local health care providers and ensuring smooth transitions of care for patients.
“Our submission wasn’t a new way of marketing but a better, very planned and strategic alignment with other entities we wanted to partner with,” said Matthew Cummings, executive director at the facility. “Because of the efforts of the team, we have been able to see results.”
Life Care Center of Hixson is part of Life Care’s Cumberland Region.
