Erlanger Treats 21 For Winter-Weather Related Illnesses And Injuries In 4 Days

Erlanger Health System emergency department teams treated 21 people, two children and 19 adults, for winter-weather related illnesses and injuries between Thursday and Sunday. 

 

Ten patients were treated for injuries resulting from slips and falls on snow and/or ice. Weather-related injuries and illness included dislocations, fractures, contusions and hypothermia. 11 were treated for injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents, due largely to poor road conditions during the four-day period.
