Mrs. Ernesteen Templeton, 81, of Lafayette, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017. Mrs. Templeton was born in Kentucky to Willie and Essie Prince. She was a homemaker. Ernesteen lived in the area all of her life and was of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Templeton is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Essie Prince; husband Robert Luther Templeton; three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include: children Wayne (Lecia) Templeton, Vickie (Terry) Abbott, and Roger (Roxanne) Templeton; grandchildren, Vicki Beard, Misty Boggs, Billy Richardson, Jerome Templeton and Eric Templeton; 10 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Templeton will be Friday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. in the chapel, Wilson Funeral Home Lafayette. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Lafayette City Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
