2 UTC Doubles Teams Advance At Louisville

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team has two doubles tandems in the semifinals of the Louisville Invite in Louisville, Ky. 

Sophomores Nilas Gerdes and Simon Bustamante advanced in the A Doubles with an 8-7 tiebreaker win over Kentucky's Jake Stefanik and Gus Benson. 

Junior Pablo Llebeili and freshman Luke Plaisted are in the C Doubles semis after an 8-5 win over Toledo's Serjen Olmedo and Vince Anzalone. 

Senior Michael Birnbaum and junior Paul LaHue also scored a doubles win in the C backdraw.
    

"Overall we are competing well in every match that we have played," stated head coach Chuck Merzbacher.  "The team was much more comfortable in our second fall event, and it was evident by our results."
