Jack N. Smith, Jr. died on Saturday, October 14, 2017.

He was born Jan. 31, 1935 in Chattanooga son of the late Jack Smith Sr. and Edna Burton Smith. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery P Smith.

Mr. Smith was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was retired from Ivey Mechanical Company after 25 years of service.

Survivors include a daughter, Kim; sons, James (Denise), Brent (Michelle), and Jack (Leah); brother, Steve; sisters, Lynn, Wanda, Patsy, Glenda, and Doris; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. on TuesdayOct. 17.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on WednesdayOct. 18, in the Valley View Chapel.  Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
