Decker, Bernard Kevin (Trenton)

Bernard Kevin Decker, 61, of Trenton, died at his residence Saturday morning, Oct. 14, 2017. He was a self-employed landscaper. Mr. Decker was born in Okinawa, Japan and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was of the Methodist faith. 

Preceded in death by his parents Bernard Lyle and Jill Avalon Thompson Decker. 

Surviving include his long-time partner Paula Marie Brown of Trenton; daughter Jolene (Raymond) Foster of Manassas, Va.; son Joseph “Max” Decker of Trenton; sister Barbara Decker of Lake Frederick, Va.; sister Marthara (Gary) Legg of Martinsburg, WV; uncle Jack Thompson of Fayetteville, Va.; niece Jill Hess; nephew Jeremy Davidson. 

Mr. Decker was cremated and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Tracy Jane Falls, 50, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, in a local hospital. Tracy was the daughter of the late Frances Julie Morgan Scoggins and Lester Lee Cartwright. Her husband, Jerry G. Falls also preceded her in death. School Board Says It Would Not Sell School Buildings To Signal Mountain

The County School Board on Thursday night passed a resolution saying it would not sell three schools at Signal Mountain if it chooses to break away and form its own school district.
