TN Reconnect Information Sessions For Chattanooga State Service Area Announced

  • Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Chattanooga State Community College plans to hold three TN Reconnect Information Sessions in the Student Support Center located in the Library building, IMC-124, on the Main Campus, 4501 Amnicola Highway.

"When Gov. Haslam signed The Tennessee Reconnect Act, it eliminated barriers experienced by adults who want to attend college, but are unable to due to financial constraints. This Act establishes a last-dollar scholarship for adults to attend a community college tuition-free. With this extension of the Drive to 55, which comes at no additional cost to taxpayers, every Tennessean will have the opportunity to enter or re-enter public higher education institutions with no tuition expenses," officials said.

Schedule of the sessions:

Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Thursday, Oct. 26 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 2 from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

In addition, sessions will be offered at the Dayton Site, 200 4th Ave. in Dayton on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 3-5 p.m., and at the Kimball Site, 2100 Main St. in Kimball on Thursday, Nov. 9 from 3-5 p.m. (CST).

No reservations are required for any session. Call Marsha Barker at 423-697-4753 or email marsha.barker@chattanoogastate.edu with questions.
