East Hamilton Wins Big In Region Soccer Semifinal

East Hamilton's Lauren Barcelona scored three goals Tuesday night in the Lady Hurricanes 9-1 region semifinal win over Hixson.   East Hamilton scored seven goals in the first half and two in the second to earn a 9-1 win.  

Sarah Chong and Amber Gicker had two goals each.  Julia Kasat and Madison Buckner also had a goal.  Madeline Frank had two assists. Barcelona, Gabby Larson and Malia Drumeller also had assists. 

Morgan Dupree scored Hixson's lone goal.  

East Hamilton advances to the region championship which will be played on Thursday against McMinn Central. 

MCMINN CENTRAL 5 EAST RIDGE 3 The Chargerettes of McMinn Central beat East Ridge in the other semifinal 5-3.  McMinn Central led 3-0 at the half.  Melia Baker and Amber Scapellato had two goals each for McMinn Central.  Tre'ona Brown also had a goal.
