New Homes Found For Bradley Courts After Damaging Fire; Knowles Office To Help With Tags

 Since Bradley County’s Downtown Courthouse has extensive smoke and fire damage,new locations have been found for the courts.

Also, Hamilton County Clerk Bill Knowles said, "We have volunteered to assist Bradley County motorists with vehicle registrations until temporary facilities are established in Bradley County. The state has approved our offer to help."

Officials said Sheriff Eric Watson has made available temporary housing for some of the courts affected by Saturday’s fire, in addition to offices for Judge Mike Sharp and Judge Lawrence Puckett.

Sheriff Watson and his Judicial Services Division staff met with Bradley County Clerk Gayla Miller to establish permanent locations for all displaced courts until repairs at the courthouse are completed.

The locations of the courts are listed below.

Bradley County Sheriff’s Office located at 2290 Blythe Avenue, Cleveland, TN, 37311

• Chancery Court - Community Room

• Circuit Court (Judge Lawrence Puckett) - North Training Room Bradley County Misdemeanor Probation Office located at 2252 Blythe Avenue, S.E., Cleveland, TN, 37311

• Circuit Court (Judge Mike Sharp) – Conference Room Bradley County Juvenile Center located at 1620 Johnson Blvd, S.E., Cleveland, TN 37311

• Bradley County Juvenile Court • Bradley County General Sessions Civil Court

• Bradley County Order of Protection Court Cleveland Municipal Building located at 190 Church St., N.E., Cleveland, TN 37311

• Child Support Court – City Council Room All criminal courts, which incorporate Bradley County General Sessions Criminal Court and Bradley County Criminal Court, will still convene at the Bradley County Judicial Complex.
