Prater's Mill Country Fair Set For Oct. 14-15

On location at the historic Prater’s Mill, the Prater’s Mill Foundation hosts the 47th annual Prater’s Mill Country Fair on October 14 and 15.

The Prater’s Mill Country Fair features a working grist mill, live entertainment, Southern foods, canoeing, pony rides and over 170 artisans.

The fair open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $7 for adults; children 12 and under free. Parking is free. Take I-75 Tunnel Hill-Varnell exit 341 to 5845 Ga. Hwy. 2 in Dalton.

The Tennessee Democratic Party has refiled a lawsuit seeking to keep former state GOP Chairman Robin Smith off the ballot in the Aug. 2 primary ballot. Ms. Smith was the only candidate after Rep. Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Fire On Workman Road Tuesday Morning
