Linda Joyce Hood, 52, was a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Ms. Hood was born on Feb. 8, 1965, and departed this life on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Partridge Hospital.
She was the daughter of Eddie and Lena Hicks, and Lonnie Hood, Sr.
She attended Howard High School and graduated in the Class of 1983. Linda gave her life to Christ many years ago and served in various capacities within the local church but mostly she loved to sing.
Preceding her in death were parents Eddie and Lena Hicks, and Lonnie Hood, Sr.; grandparents Angus Benjamin and Nicey Flippin; one sister, Donnetta Renee Yates.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories two sons, Elder James Wendell Gladden (Lakeisha) Platte City, Mo.; Reginald (Red) Peck, Chattanooga; grandchildren, James I. Gladden, Keonne Z. Gladden, and Journey F. Gladden all of Platte City, Mo.; two brothers, Lonnie Hood, Jr., Chattanooga, Apostle Darryle Hood, Sr. (Evangelist Valerie), Murfreesboro; two sisters, Rev. Deborah Hood-Rudolph (Evangelist Michael), Acworth, Ga.; LaShaunda McIntyre (Eric), Chattanooga; a uncle Charles Flippin, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. in the chapel.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday.
