Buddy Mason
Clenton “Buddy” Mason, 65, passed peacefully from this life on October 25, 2017, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was born September 28, 1952, to Willie Mae Mason and James “George” Willie Copeny in Augusta, Ga.
Buddy will be remembered to his family as an “easy going” person. Growing up he loved cars and playing football. As he became older, Buddy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
Buddy is survived by his daughters, Lakisha Ward, Tameka Mason, and Lakesha Johnson and sons, Julius Mason, Clinton Mason Jr., III, and Antonio Mason, his sisters, Brenda (Lovell) Johnson, Bernice Robinson, and Janie “Pula” Copeny and his brothers, Jerry (Sonia) Copeny, Earl Fossie, Amos Copeny, and Dennis “Popeye” Copeny, sixteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Pat Thompson.
Buddy was preceded in death by his mother and father, Willie Mae Mason and James “George” Willie Copeny, his sister, Joyce Ann Copeny, and his brothers, Oscar and James Copeny.
A special gathering will be held at 4715 Montview Dr. to celebrate his life.
