Gloria Maxine Beaver, 85, of Chattanooga died on Saturday, September 30, 2017.
She was born April 20, 1932, in Rileyville, Va., to the late Samuel and Florence Burton. Mrs. Beaver was a member of Falling Water Baptist Church. Her love for children was evident by her teaching children’s sunday school class and working in the nursery and working at the school.
One of her favorite times was the two weeks that she spent with her family in the Smokey Mountains every year. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Harold Beaver; daughter, Bonnie (David) Renfro; son, Keith (Lori) Beaver; sister, Phyllis Tillett; grandchildren, Matt (Amy) Renfro, Kellie Renfro, Harold Lee Beaver, II, Betty Jo Snow, and Katelyn Rhodes; special daughter, Tina Carpenter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 6, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday.
