Lee Women Ranked No. 24 In Soccer Poll

Thanks to three-match winning streak and a perfect 3-0 record against ranked opponents this season head coach Chris Hennessey and the Lee women's soccer team have catapulted in to the United Soccer Coaches Poll at No. 24 this week.

The Lady Flames scored two big road victories this past week as they took down West Georgia on Friday, 1-0 before topping conference rival and eighth-ranked North Alabama on Sunday by the same margin.

Lee has conceded just three goals this season and sits at 7-3 overall and 6-1 in the Gulf South Conference.
The Lady Flames will welcome to tough conference foes to town this weekend as they battle Valdosta State (6-3-1, 4-2-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. before welcoming West Florida (6-2-1, 3-1-1) on Sunday at 2 p.m.

The Lady Flames enter the top 25 for the first time this season and join Mississippi College (No. 17) as the two ranked GSC schools. North Alabama is receiving votes.  

Kutztown University (Pa.) holds down the No. 1 spot for the first time in school history while The University of Central Missouri (10-0) was voted second in the poll. Defending NCAA DII champion Western Washington University (9-0) drops to the third spot. Grand Valley State University (8-2) and Flagler College (8-0-1) round out the Top 5.
