Virginia Gayle Eggert Holder of Whitwell, born July 15, 1948, passed away Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017. She was a 1966 graduate of Whitwell High School. Gayle was a loving mother and a precious loving grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lula Eggert; sisters, Joyce Ann Eggert, Martha Newsom; niece, Debbie Coppinger, Denise Frizzell; brother-in-laws, Sonny Frizzell and C.G. Newsom. She was a member of the Christian Worship Center.
Survived by son and daughter-in-law, George Richard and Melissa Holder; grandsons, Cayden Andrew Holder, James Trey Holder of Whitwell; sisters, Georgia Frizzell of Whitwell, Stella Shasteen of Chattanooga; nieces, Renita (James) Lockhart, Jackie Shasteen Moore; nephews, Roger Frizzell, Andy (Karla) Frizzell, Cal “Tiger” Newsom; great-great nephew, Talan Webb of Whitwell; several great nieces and nephews; special daughter, Diane and Wayne Peoples; special friends, Marion “Doodle” Richardson, Buddy and Jeannie Richardson, Wilma Billingsley.
Family will receive friends 1-8 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 31.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 1 with Rev. Allen Griffith and Rev. Jerry Merciers officiating. Interment at Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell.
