Katherine Williams Johnson, 92, of Ringgold, gained her heavenly reward Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017. A lifelong resident of the Ringgold area, she was retired from the Catoosa County School System where she worked for 20 years as a secretary at the Ringgold Middle School. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where she attended the Mary Ruth Hixson Sunday School Class.
She is preceded in death by her husband, C.D. Johnson; parents, Charlie and Edna Williams; sister, Louise Walker; and brother, Gordon Williams.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Don Cardin of Cleveland; son, Charles Scott Johnson of Ringgold; sister, Syble Hix of Ringgold; special caregiver, Domenique Stephens; five grandchildren, Andrew (Casey) Stephens, Chris Stephens, Robby (Domenique) Stephens, Corry (Lauren) Johnson and Angel (Jeremy) Morgan; six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 31 in the funeral home chapel with Corry Johnson and Rev. Michael Kirby officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until funeral time at the funeral home.
