Lewis, Fletcher Lee (Dunlap)

Fletcher Lee Lewis, 79, of Dunlap, died at his home Tuesday Oct. 3, 2017. Mr. Lewis was a member and trustee of Way of the Cross Baptist Church. He was actively engaged in many sports and sponsored several softball teams. He was on the school board in Sequatchie County for 18 years and was a member of The Education Foundation. He was owner of Whitwell Auto Parts since 1978. 

Mr. Fletcher was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Vera King Lewis; brothers, Dreafus, Rex, Marshall and Jack. 

Survivors include his wife, Gwenn Johnson Lewis; daughters, Vonda (Ed) Summers of Dunlap, Cindy (Sid) Fritts of Elberton, Ga.; brother, Riley Lewis of Ontario, Or.; sister, Katherine (Bruce) Newlon of Ellijah, Ga.; sister-in-law, Peggy Lewis of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jacob Summers, Chelsea (Colby) Whitzell of Dunlap, Chandler Fritts of Crested Butte, Co., Kylee Fritts of Elberton, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Hallie, Daisy and Faith; several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. CDT Thursday, Oct. 5 at Pope Cemetery with Bro. Lanny Tate officiating with burial to follow. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday and 8-10:30 a.m. Thursday. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making donations to the Fletcher Lewis Scholarship Fund.

Annette Burgner, 78, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, in a local hospital. Mrs. Burgner was the daughter of the late Callie Evelyn Crumley White and James Dewey White. Harold S. Wilson, 98, a retired Army Colonel and insurance executive, died on July 20, 2018 at Alexian Village. A Jury For 2nd Time Convicts Randall Reed Of Murdering 70-Year-Old Woman In 2011

A jury for the second time has convicted Randall Reed of first-degree murder in the 2011 death of 70-year-old Jane Stokes in East Ridge.
