Karen Hood Green, age 53, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends.

She was a 1981 Alumni of Tennessee Temple High School, she graduated from Chattanooga State Community College with her Associate Degree and she was a licensed insurance agent. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life and she was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Robert Hood. 

She is survived by her husband of twenty-two years, Donnie Green; her children, Drew (Terrie) Ward, Annie Ward, Chris (Lashell) Green, Peyton Green; grandchildren, Brian King, Zach King, Nathan Ward, Devin Ward and Payton Nunley; mother, Margie Hood; brother, Russ (Kim) Hood; niece, Cassie Hood; nephew, Ben (Beka) Hood; great-nieces, Keely, Layce, Katie, Darby; great-nephews, Lance and Josiah; and mother-in-law, Ruby Green. 

Family will receive friends Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 4-5, from 4-8 p.m.  

The funeral service will be Friday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Jasper. 

Family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the service starts at the church. 

Interment to follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens.

Charles Edward Pelfrey, 68, of Evensville, died on Friday, April 20, 2018, at his home. He was born on Sept. 7, 1949, in Rhea County to the late Robert “Luke” Pelfrey and Lizzie (Stinnett) Pelfrey. Dayton Teen Arrested After Running From Deputies On Highway 60; Passenger Caught With Drugs
