Rachel Gregory Harting, age 98, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Harting was born on Aug. 13, 1919, in Orlinda, Tn., and she was the daughter of the late Cora Lee Wilson Gregory and Shelby T. Gregory.

Her husband of more than 50 years, Reverend Paul J. Harting and her brother, Dan Gregory also preceded her in death. Mrs. Harting was a ministers wife and homemaker. She enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens. She loved poetry and singing hymns in her church choir. Mrs. Harting attended the Methodist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Don C. Harting, M. D. and his wife Elizabeth "Lil" Harting of Cleveland, Larry Joe Harting and his wife Sherry Harting of Suwanee, Georgia, her granddaughter, Tiffany Harting and her husband Todd Pryor, her great grandchild, Tatum Pryor and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A private memorial service will be held at a later time for the family.

The Jim Rush Funeral and Cremation Services North Ocoee Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
