Laurel Hill Wildlife Management Area To Host Youth Deer Hunt Oct. 14-15

Laurel Hill Wildlife Management Area will be hosting a youth deer hunt on Oct. 14–15. Young hunters ages 6-16 will be allowed to harvest one deer either sex and there will be no antler restrictions. Harvested deer will be counted as bonus deer.

No registration is required for this hunt and there is no quota. Young hunters should be accompanied by a non-hunting adult, 21 years of age or older, who must remain in a position to take immediate control of the hunting device and must also comply with fluorescent orange regulations, as specified for legal hunters. Youth 10 years of age or older must meet Hunter Education requirements. Multiple youth may be accompanied by a single non-hunting adult.

All hunters are invited to come by the checking station at 74 VFW Road in Lawrenceburg on the opening day of the hunt for food and drinks. The Macedonia Baptist Church will provide a chili and hotdog lunch starting at 10:30 a.m.
