William Elliott Johnstone, 77, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 5, 2017. 

He was born on Jan. 12, 1940, in Quincy, Ma., to George H. and Mildred Caldwell Johnstone.

William is survived by his children, George H. Burtis and Theresa Burtis, both of Maryland.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date in Red Bank, N.J.
