What Would Happen? - And Response (2)

What would happened to the NFL if the players, just the black players said.. . no mas.  We, as a union of football professionals, should take a united stand against racial injustice and have decided not to play any games next Sunday. We will continue to boycott the games only and until the NFL, the U.S. government and the people of this country begin to understand that race issues in this country are old, tiring and further conflicts with the values of this country.

The president of the U.S. will formally announce a commission not to study the problem. It has already been studied and will, instead formally apologize to the nation, to its people and to the millions of voters who still believe that black people should enter the building via the back door.

Mr. Brooks, what would happen if all the team owners followed their long standing rule in the NFL Game Operations Manual regarding the national anthem at professional football games?

The rule states: The National Anthem must be played at every NFL game and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem. During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand and refrain from talking. The home team should insure that the flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline such as fines, suspensions and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for the violation of the above, including first offenses.

Or should the rule just be ignored because some players chose which rules they observe and which they don't. Why even have rules? Why shouldn't the rest of us be like these football players and just not follow any rules we don't like? What would happen then, Mr. Brooks?

Wow, Mr. Brooks, whatever is going on with Mrs. Clinton's strange obsession seems to be spreading throughout the party.
