Mary Jernigan
Mary Evelyn Ramsey Jernigan, 89, of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at a local health care facility.
She was a charter member of Northside Presbyterian Church and an Honorary Women of the Church Life Member of the Presbyterian Church, USA. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jernigan; parents, James Roy Ramsey and Sallie Cleveland Ramsey; son, Hal Jernigan; and sister, Lela Cate.
Survivors include her daughter, Jeanie Cloud and husband, Tom of Cleveland; granddaughter, Emily Ridge and husband, Michael of Cleveland; sister, Betty (Mitchell) Lyle of Cleveland; three nieces, Paula (Bill) Thomas, Amanda (Don) Willoughby and Mollie (Rusty) McAmis, all of Cleveland; and two nephews, Tony Lyle of Hilliard, OH and Jim (Kathy) Lyle of Centerville, VA.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Joe Tanner and Dr. David Horne officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
The family requests that memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church Education Fund, 433 N. Ocoee Street, Cleveland, Tn. 37311.
