John Boyer, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away on November 19, 2017. 

He was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church. 

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Josephine “Jo” Boyer; sons, John Boyer (Rita), Bryan Boyer (Clarissa); daughter, Jody Elmore (John); grand-daughters, Jessica Ledbetter, Kayla Boyer, Aly Boyer and Krysta Boyer.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Lane Funeral Home, Graveside services will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Rd #102, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

Arrangements are by Lane Funeral Home, Chattanooga.

Bobby Ray Baker, 67, of Trenton, Georgia, formerly of Chattanooga, died on Friday, July 20, 2018. Peter Lee Arnold, 61, of East Ridge, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018.   He attended Brainerd United Methodist Church. Peter was a graduate of Brainerd High School and was employed by Woodbridge Foam Fabricators. Person Killed, 2 Injured In Accident On Suck Creek Road Saturday Morning

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies and traffic investigators were on the scene of an accident that occurred at approximately  8:45 a.m.  near the 2100 block of Suck Creek Road. A Jury For 2nd Time Convicts Randall Reed Of Murdering 70-Year-Old Woman In 2011

A jury for the second time has convicted Randall Reed of first-degree murder in the 2011 death of 70-year-old Jane Stokes in East Ridge. The verdict was returned in the courtroom of Judge Tom Greenholtz’s on Friday. The earlier verdict had been thrown out by an appeals court. Reed testified in his own behalf.
