Melvin Richard Eskew Sr., 74, Rossville, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017. Melvin was born June 7, 1943, in Chattanooga to the late Harold and Lucille Eskew. He was a graduate of the Class of 1960 at Lakeview High School and spent his career as a draftsman. Melvin was of the Baptist faith and attended Parkway Baptist Church. He loved any and all things in the outdoors; hunting, fishing, going to ballgames and being with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his brother Charles Eskew and granddaughter Kelly Lingerfelt.
Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Lois Caheely Eskew; son, Melvin “Rick” Eskew Jr., Rossville; daughter, Teresa (Rodney) Lingerfelt, Rossville; grandchildren, Shae (Logan) Lingerfelt Partin and Bailey Lingerfelt; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the MICU staff at Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Sampson officiating. Interment will be in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
